Jane’s Walk – King-Spadina: A work in progress
April 21 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Former Mayor Barbara Hall and urban designer Ken Greenberg explore the Two Kings, how it emerged, and the history of the area between Spadina and Portland. We end our walk at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theater, just in time for the theatrical premier of Citizen Jane: Battle for the City, a new documentary about Jane Jacobs’ fight to save lower Manhattan.

Meet at Victoria Memorial Park. You’ll find us at the granite chairs holding a Jane’s Walk sign. Walk with us to King and Portland then King and Spadina and resume the walk at TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre.
Citizen Jane: Battle for the City
After the walk, stay and watch the new documentary Citizen Jane: Battle for the City! We’re hosting a post-screening discussion moderated by Zahra Ebrahim with special guests Amanda Lewis (Charlie’s FreeWheels), Hibaq Gelle (YWCA Toronto Women of Distinction awardee and Premier’s Council on Youth Opportunities), and the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust (PNLT).
The Jane’s Walk is free, but you’ll need tickets for the film and discussion. Get your tickets here: http://www.tiff.net/films/citizen-jane/.
