Senior Landscape Architect

One Leisure is in search of an accomplished Senior Landscape Architect, who combines strength, creativity, and adept management skills. This role entails spearheading the development of design concepts and providing guidance across all stages of the design continuum, from Master Planning and Concept Design to the detailing of Construction Documentation and Site Implementation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and management of projects from concept/master plan through to contract administration
  • Coordinating with the Design Director
  • Proven experience in project management, design, and construction documentation, client meetings, and group presentations
  • Assemble team and resources to identify deliverables and timelines, prepare and modify plans/designs, assisting clients in advancing projects toward completion
  • Graphic presentation design for clients
  • General office management

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of an accredited degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in landscape architecture or design firm settings.
  • Ability to work in Canada legally.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Exceptional project management skills, encompassing adept coordination with clients and consultants.
  • Proven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • A positive attitude coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Strong 3D modelling abilities, particularly in SketchUp.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in preparing comprehensive Construction Documents.
  • Previous involvement in luxury hotel and resort design projects within tropical regions is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality industry is considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in plant species selection and planting design, specializing in Mediterranean and Tropical species.
  • Competence in irrigation design and documentation.
  • Possession of a valid G driver's license.
  • Licensed in Ontario or equivalent regions, along with membership in OALA (Ontario Association of Landscape Architects).
  • Willingness to travel is considered an asset.
