WAYNE SWADRON STUDIOS is currently seeking a junior landscape designer to join our collaborative and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to assist and contribute towards every aspect of the landscape architectural process.
Key Responsibilities: Working with senior level staff, you will: • Collect and organize site specific information requirements for projects • Undertake analysis for projects and create base drawings and site models • Develop preliminary designs and models • Prepare request for proposals and review consultant reports • Generate and/or coordinate illustrations, graphics and presentation materials • Prepare construction documentation including plans, details and specifications • Participate in project coordination and correspondence
Qualifications: • Recent graduate to 3 years of professional landscape design office experience • Graduate of an accredited Landscape Architectural Degree Program • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Adept at managing Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite programs/files • Familiarity with Vectorworks is an asset • Knowledge of construction methods and procedures, as well as plant material is helpful • Ability to prepare high-quality presentation material to communicate information and design • Well-organized, independent work habits with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks • A team player who is positive and full of energy and ideas to contribute
