Jane’s Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs. The walks get people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbours.
Be a part of Jane’s Walk in a way that goes beyond walking. There are lots of ways you can get involved in the meaningful work we do! Here are three of them:
#1 Lead a Jane’s Walk
Anyone can lead a walk because everyone is an expert in their own experience of the city. Leading a Jane’s Walk is a fun, heart-opening experience. Learn how at our Walkshop on March 23.
#2 Donate to Jane’s Walk
Donors like you keep the lights on at the Jane’s Walk Project Office, which supports hundreds of free walking conversations here in Toronto plus thousands more in over 200 cities around the world.
#3 Volunteer on the Planning Committee
We can’t do the things we do without time and talent of volunteers who help us plan the festival. Volunteers plan and execute festival outreach, publicity, web support, walk documentation, and the May 4 launch party. Interested in being part of the team?
