CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the studio partner and in support of our company’s growth objectives, the senior project director is responsible for the management of impactful projects in landscape architecture and urban design. In this capacity, he/she is responsible for coordinating the assembly of technical and financial proposals, technical studies related to granted projects and the overall management of the latter, including budgets, timelines and client relationships.

Specifically:

  • Coordinate the preparation of technical and financial proposals Ottawa and Montreal
  • Direct teams responsible for the realization of projects
  • Establish and control budgetary envelopes and timelines
  • Design and carry out diverse urban projects of importance such as public spaces and squares, urban parks and riverside walkways
  • Actively participate in the development of master plans, typically involving multidisciplinary and integrated design teams
  • Supervise the design and production of operational documents and perform quality control on deliverables
  • Manage medium- and large-scale projects by planning for personnel, following budgets and coordinating the administrative management of contracts (opening files, administrative follow-up, billing, etc.)
  • Participate in the department’s business development through service offers, presentations and client liaison

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in landscape architecture
  • OALA and AAPQ membership a must;
  • Over 10 years of experience in a project director or manager role
  • Proven great creativity and innovation
  • Demonstrated skills in design, master plan design, plans and specifications
  • Showing leadership oriented towards multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Bilingualism, written and spoken
