Responsibilities include:

Proposals:

  • Obtain and review Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Work with senior staff members to define proposal responsibilities for content and production
  • Organize necessary background material and research
  • Set up InDesign document to comply with the RFP requirements
  • Insert all content into the document.
  • Assist in the assembly of the consulting team
  • Coordinate delivery of qualifications from members of the consulting team
  • Edit and proofread texts and images for proposals
  • Coordinate printing/production and timely delivery of the proposal documents
  • Co-Chair Proposal Meetings – Proposal review/updates

Website Maintenance and Social Media:

  • Technical support of all Website and Social Media activity
  • Update content regularly

Awards Submissions

  • Obtain and review Calls for Awards
  • Coordinate content with design and marketing team
  • Set up InDesign document to comply with the Awards requirements
  • Edit and proofread texts and images
  • Coordinate printing, binding and timely delivery – if applicable

Publications

Support graphic and written content (photos, diagrams, credits etc.)

Ongoing / General Marketing Tasks:

  • Improve/maintain marketing information systems and records, including:
  • project profiles
  • CVs
  • References
  • Publications
  • Awards
  • presentations
  • Assist in the procurement of photography
  • Prepare promotional packages about the office — brochures, post-cards etc.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Design related field (journalism, graphic design, communications, marketing)
  • Preferably minimum of 2 years of experience in proposal development
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Technical ability to edit and update website and social media
  • Conversant in various forms of social media
  • Capacity and motivation to work in fast‐paced environment with sometimes demanding / fixed deadlines
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Natural desire to assist fellow colleagues in a collaborative manner
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience in an architectural and engineering firm is an asset
