Shift Landscape Architecture is a design-focused office based in Guelph, Ontario. We are looking for an Intermediate Landscape Architect to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate will be a graduate from a Landscape Architecture program. (BLA or MLA). Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years experience in a professional design office. This is an opportunity to grow with Shift and transition into a senior role.

Requirements include: Project management/ administration skills (from concept to construction completion), ability to mentor Jr. designers, experience in public engagement settings and proposal writing. As well, the candidate should be able to work on a wide range of projects including competitions, public space, institutional and a select group of residential. Being able to collaborate with and lead allied professionals is a must. The candidate will be well read in contemporary landscape architecture and urbanism theory; possess strong graphic, verbal and written communication skills; have a good sense of humor; and a friendly personality supported by the ability to deal with the fast paced, fluid conditions inherent in a growing business. A valid driver’s license is required in order to attend sites throughout southern and central Ontario. Overnight travel may be required.
